Song Da-eun Confirms She’s Dating a K-Pop Idol, Fans Think It’s BTS’s Jimin

June 4, 2025: Speculation about BTS member Jimin and actress Song Da-eun has resurfaced following a cryptic statement made by Da-eun during a recent live video. According to trending posts on Korean forum Nate Pann, the actress claimed she is currently dating a K-pop idol—though she did not name him directly.

In the video, Song Da-eun shared that the relationship has brought “stress” to her and her family due to online backlash from the idol’s fanbase. She lashed out at critics, warning them to stop the harassment or face legal consequences. “Just because the idol you love loves me doesn’t mean I deserve to be hated… You seriously have no idea what I might expose if I lose my temper,” she said in a now-viral clip.

The comment has reignited rumors linking her to Jimin, since he is the only K-pop idol she was previously rumored to be dating back in 2022 and 2023. Although those rumors were previously dismissed, fans on social media have started speculating again, especially after Song mentioned receiving a strange call from a number that allegedly included digits tied to her boyfriend’s birthday—leading many to point fingers once again at the BTS member.

However, Song has neither confirmed nor denied whether the idol in question is Jimin. The ambiguity has only fueled more curiosity and online buzz.

Meanwhile, Jimin is currently serving his mandatory military duty in South Korea and is expected to be discharged later this June 2025. Other BTS members—RM, V, Jungkook, and Suga—are also enlisted and scheduled to complete their service around the same time. Jin and J-Hope have already returned from duty.
