Sonu Nigam’s Emotional Tribute to Asha Bhosle at Book Launch

In an event filled with poignant moments and heartfelt tributes, the biography of veteran singer Asha Bhosle, titled ‘Swarswamini Asha,’ was launched on Friday. The star-studded ceremony was graced by notable personalities, including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, actor Jackie Shroff, and singer Sonu Nigam.

The event saw RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat speaking eloquently about the Mangeshkar family’s unwavering dedication to music and patriotism. He emphasized the role of music beyond mere entertainment, underscoring its potential to uplift and benefit society.

The biography, ‘Swarswamini Asha,’ is a labor of love compiled by 90 authors. It promises to be a treasure trove for Asha Bhosle’s fans, featuring rare photographs that chronicle her journey and evolution as an artist. The book aims to provide a comprehensive look into the life and legacy of one of India’s most iconic singers.

Actor Jackie Shroff also attended the launch, showing his deep respect for Asha Bhosle by touching her feet. As a token of appreciation, Shroff presented Bhosle with a flower pot, symbolizing his admiration for her illustrious career.

During the event, Asha Bhosle reminisced about her association with Hindutva ideologue VD Savarkar, sharing personal anecdotes that added a historical dimension to the celebration. Her brother, the renowned music director Hridaynath Mangeshkar, was also present, further emphasizing the family’s rich musical heritage.
