Sony Pictures Unveils Cast For Upcoming Anaconda Reboot, Starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd

February 6, 2025: Sony Pictures has officially revealed the star-studded cast for the much-anticipated Anaconda reboot, which will feature comedy legends Jack Black and Paul Rudd.

In a quirky clip posted on YouTube, Black introduced the full ensemble cast while engaging in a musical number. Alongside him, Rudd could be seen playing the bongos, and Brazilian actor Selton Mello strummed a guitar, showcasing the light-hearted chemistry among the cast members.

The reboot is directed by Tom Gormican, known for his work on The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. The film also stars Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn, and Daniela Melchior in significant roles, ensuring an eclectic mix of talent in this serpentine action-comedy.

The Anaconda reboot, which promises thrills, laughs, and plenty of suspense, is set to be released this Christmas. Fans of both Black and Rudd have eagerly awaited their team-up since the announcement in December 2024, and the new promo clip shows that the duo’s comedic chemistry is front and center.

“I’m excited for you to see this. It’s gonna be a big, big fucking snake, and it’s gonna rip!” Jack Black excitedly teased in the video, confirming that the film will have plenty of wild and terrifying moments. Paul Rudd, meanwhile, hinted that the film would have something for everyone. “You want to get scared? You want to laugh? It’s got it all,” he said. The duo’s playful banter and fun-filled teaser promise an adventurous film that combines horror, comedy, and thrills.

Set for release on Christmas Day in 2025, this Anaconda reboot, produced by Columbia Pictures, is one that promises a mix of heart-pounding action and uproarious humor, with Black and Rudd leading the charge.
