Director Vanga drops a unique, dialogue-driven audio teaser for the cop-action drama, hinting at a gritty, rebellious role for the Rebel Star.

October 24, 2025: Marking the occasion of Rebel Star Prabhas’s 46th birthday, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga delivered a high-voltage surprise to fans by releasing an explosive ‘Sound Story’ from their upcoming film, ‘Spirit’.

Ditching the traditional video format, Vanga, known for his intense cinematic style in hits like Animal, released a one-minute audio teaser in five Indian languages, immediately setting a dark and thrilling tone for the film.

The Gritty Teaser: Jailer vs. Ex-Cop

The clip features a gripping exchange between a jailer (reportedly played by Prakash Raj) and his assistant, discussing an ex-cop—the film’s protagonist—who is now in remand. The jailer is heard commanding the assistant to ignore the prisoner’s former rank and even “strip off” the prisoner for a search, emphasizing that in his compound, everyone is equal.

The intense exchange culminates with Prabhas’ deep, calm voice cutting through the tension, revealing a crucial character detail:

“Sir, since childhood, I have one bad habit. Right from childhood, I have one bad habit.”

Sharing the teaser, the film’s official X handle amplified the intrigue, writing: “The system knows his record. The streets know his rage. Now the world will know his #OneBadHabit. #Spirit Sound Story Out Now in all Languages.”

Co-star Triptii Dimri, who will be making her Telugu cinema debut with the project, also shared the sound story, calling it “A Sound Story that celebrates the man, the magic and the emotion. ✨.”

About ‘Spirit’

Spirit is touted to be an intense cop-action drama, featuring Prabhas in a never-before-seen avatar as an angry young police officer who locks horns with a powerful mafia syndicate. Sources suggest the film will be one of Prabhas’s most emotionally raw and action-packed performances, perfectly aligned with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s signature direction.

The film marks Triptii Dimri’s entry into Telugu cinema after stepping in as the female lead following initial negotiations with Deepika Padukone falling through. The rest of the cast details, including the roles of veteran actors like Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi (as per reports), are currently being kept under wraps. The film is a joint production between Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures and is expected to hit screens in 2026.
