Squid Game Season 3 Cast Revealed: Who’s Returning, Who’s New?

The brutal survival saga picks up where season 2 left off, with desperate contestants risking everything for a chance to win a life-changing fortune. This time, Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), the original winner, has one mission: dismantle the twisted organization behind the deadly game.

Season 3 continues to raise the bar, both in terms of action and casting. With the massive success of the first season, creator Hwang Dong-hyuk had no problem assembling an A-list cast for the finale. “After season 1, the cast became global stars overnight. Now I could cast exactly who I wanted,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Who’s Back and What to Expect:

• Lee Jung-jae reprises his Emmy-winning role as Gi-hun. After years of searching, he’s back in the game to take on the masked Front Man and uncover the truth. Lee described the new season as deeper, more emotional, and thematically stronger than ever before.
• Lee Byung-hun returns as the enigmatic Front Man. Though he’s the show’s villain, season 3 hints at a more complex, human side to the man behind the mask.
• Wi Ha-jun, whose character Detective Jun-ho was presumed dead, is back as well. Having survived the gunshot and fall from season 1, Jun-ho is now determined to find the island and confront his brother.

The season also welcomes a lineup of well-known Korean actors, theater veterans, and K-pop stars—thanks to the show’s now-global reputation.
