June 22, 2025: Tamil-Telugu actor Srikanth, also known as Sriram, was reportedly arrested in Chennai on Monday in connection with a narcotics case, following allegations made by a drug supplier currently in police custody.

According to a report by News18, the actor was taken in for questioning earlier in the day and later arrested after a blood test confirmed narcotic usage and evidence of suspicious transactions was discovered on his mobile device.

Srikanth is said to have purchased cocaine approximately 40 times, paying ₹12,000 per gram, with a total of ₹4.72 lakh reportedly paid via Google Pay.

Key Details of the Case:

  • Srikanth was allegedly named by Prasad, a former AIADMK IT wing member, who was arrested for drug trafficking after a recent pub brawl in Nungambakkam.
  • Based on Prasad’s statement, Chennai police summoned Srikanth for interrogation.
  • Investigators found evidence of repeated drug purchases and UPI transactions linked to the actor.
  • Srikanth’s blood sample tested positive for narcotics, leading to his arrest.
  • As of now, the actor has not issued any public statement.

The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests or revelations may follow as authorities continue to crack down on drug abuse and trafficking in the film and social circles of Chennai.
