Mumbai, April 23: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that claimed the lives of multiple innocent tourists. In a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter), SRK expressed deep sorrow, outrage, and called for the nation to stand strong and united in the face of such a “treacherous and inhumane act of violence.”

Words fail to express the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumane act of violence that has occurred in Pahalgam. In times like these, one can only turn to God and say a prayer for the families that suffered and express my deepest condolences. May we as a Nation, stand…
Several film personalities echoed the nation’s grief and condemned the attack:
Alia Bhatt called the loss of lives “heartbreaking,” reflecting on how tourists simply seeking peace and beauty were met with brutality.
Anushka Sharma denounced it as a “cold-blooded terror attack.”
Sidharth Malhotra termed it a “cowardly act” and placed full faith in the armed forces.
Raveena Tandon, expressing shock and sorrow, urged unity against the “true enemy,” adding: “Shocked and angry. No words to express the anguish. Prayers and strength to the victims. UNITE.”
Government Response
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who chaired a high-level security meeting in Srinagar, also visited the Baisaran meadow—the site of the attack. He conducted an aerial review and received a detailed briefing from top officials on the security situation and counter-terrorism operations underway.
The Pahalgam attack, considered one of the deadliest incidents in the region since the abrogation of Article 370, has triggered a wave of national grief and demands for accountability.
