The trailer launch of ‘Dharmaveer 2’ turned into a star-studded event, graced by Bollywood heavyweights Salman Khan, Jeetendra, and Govinda, alongside Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Salman Khan, welcomed with a bouquet and shawl, was all smiles at the event. The launch also saw the presence of veteran actor Jeetendra and actor-turned-politician Govinda, adding to the glamour. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis underscored the event’s importance with their attendance.
The celebration kicked off with a Gurupurnima performance, paying tribute to the late Anand Dighe, known as ‘Dharmaveer’. The guest list included stars like Boman Irani, Rakul Preet, Jackky Bhagnani, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ashok Saraf, Nivedita Joshi, Mahesh Kothare, and the film’s cast, including Prasad Oak, Kshitish Date, and Siddharth Jadhav.
‘Dharmaveer 2: Mukkam Post Thane’ continues the story of Anand Dighe, a respected Shiv Sena leader. Directed by Pravin Tarde, the film features Prasad Oak as Anand Dighe and Kshitish Date as a young Eknath Shinde.
Earlier in July, actor and producer Bobby Deol unveiled the film’s poster with CM Eknath Shinde and the cast in Mumbai. Reflecting on the film, CM Shinde stated, “Dighe Saheb’s legacy is too vast for one film. This sequel aims to highlight more of his impactful life.”
Salman Khan, reminiscing about the first film, said, “The first movie was a big hit. I hope this one will be even bigger.”
