Paramount+ drops first look at Season 3, teasing a dramatic continuation from last season’s cliffhanger and more adventures aboard the USS Enterprise under Capt. Pike’s command.

“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” has dropped the first teaser for its upcoming third season.

The first look at the Paramount+ series, which can be seen below, teases ten brand new adventures aboard the USS Enterprise during the Capt. Christopher Pike years, including a murder mystery and the return of Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk. The new season will also resolve the Season 2 finale cliffhanger, which saw the Enterprise crew locked in a fierce battle with the Gorn that left Captain Batel’s (Melanie Scrofano) life hanging in the balance.

As previously announced, Strange New Worlds has already been renewed for a fourth season, which is currently in production in Toronto. Season 3 does not have an official premiere date, but will debut this summer.

The returning cast includes Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn. Guest stars for the season are Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O’Sullivan, Melanie Scrofano, and Carol Kane, plus special guest star Paul Wesley.

Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners and executive producers via Weed Road Pictures and HMRX, respectively. Alex Kurtzman, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Davy Perez, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Chris Fisher, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth are also executive producers. The series is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment.

Along with Strange New Worlds, the upcoming Star Trek slate at Paramount+ includes “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy,” which has already been renewed for Season 2.
