The episode, co-hosted by Michelle’s brother Craig Robinson, kicked off with teasing anticipation as the Obamas reunited on-air.

“This is the episode everyone’s been waiting for,” Craig joked, before announcing Barack as the “very, very, very special” guest. Michelle added, “He made time in his busy schedule to come on. We are honored.”

Michelle also shared that her decision to skip Donald Trump’s inauguration was deeply personal—not marital. “At 61, I’m finally owning my wisdom,” she said. “It took everything in my power to not do what was perceived as right, but to do what was right for me.”
