‘Stree 2’ Becomes Highest-Grossing Hindi Film of All Time in Its Second Week

Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, continues its unstoppable run at the box office, achieving new milestones as it becomes the highest-grossing Hindi film in the country in its second week.

The film, which has captivated audiences nationwide, shows no signs of slowing down as it enters its third week.

Despite facing competition from new releases, Stree 2 has maintained its dominance at the box office. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has amassed a staggering Rs 453.60 crore net during its second week.

He added, “From urban centres to mass markets and from multiplexes to single screens, the trends have been nothing short of EXTRAORDINARY.“

With no major releases posing a challenge this week, Stree 2 is expected to maintain its momentum well into its third week. Adarsh noted, “Expect a significant spike in biz on [third] Sat and Sun.” He also provided a detailed breakdown of the film’s second-week earnings: “[Week 2] Fri 19.30 cr, Sat 33.80 cr, Sun 40.75 cr, Mon 20.20 cr, Tue 12.25 cr, Wed 10.40 cr, Thu 9.10 cr. Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, faced a box office clash with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa on August 15, but quickly emerged as the top choice for moviegoers, leaving the other two films far behind.

In addition to Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s stellar performances, the film features special cameos by Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar, both of whom have been praised for their roles. The success of Stree 2 follows the original Stree, which was released in 2018 and became a hit.
