Sunita Ahuja Files For Divorce From Govinda, Accuses Him For ‘Cheating’ And ‘Adultery’

Despite a lawyer’s previous claims of reconciliation, a new report suggests that Sunita Ahuja filed for divorce in December 2024, citing serious allegations against the actor as the two continue to attend court-mandated counseling sessions.

A recent report from Hauterrfly says that Sunita has filed for divorce from Govinda, saying that “adultery, cruelty, and desertion” are the reasons. This comes after her emotional vlog in which she talked about rumors of their divorce.

The article says that the divorce case was filed on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. The Hindu Marriage Act of 1955 was used. The court is said to have called Govinda on May 25, but he hasn’t come to many of the hearings. Sunita, on the other hand, has been going to all of them. The couple has been going to court-ordered counseling sessions in an effort to make up.

The news comes months after rumors of divorce first made headlines in February 2025. Lalit Bindal, a family friend and lawyer, had publicly disputed the reports at the time. However, the pair had since worked out their problems and were “going strong.” He also put an end to rumors that the two were living apart and told supporters that “no divorce is going to happen.”

Sunita Ahuja recently talked about the chaos in her first YouTube vlog, which made the matter even more complicated. From the temple, she cried and said, “I have so much faith in the Goddess that I know that whoever tries to break my home, Maa Kaali is there.” She ended with a strong warning: “Maa will not forgive anyone who tries to break up my family.”

The pair has been married for more than thirty years, but they have not yet made any official public statements about the ongoing court proceedings. Neither side has confirmed the accusations or the state of the court case.
