Sunny Deol Lashes Out At Media Outside His Home
A visibly angry Sunny Deol publicly reprimanded paparazzi stationed outside his Mumbai home for their relentless pursuit of images, following the discharge of his father, Dharmendra, and the widespread circulation of false death rumors.
November 13, 2025: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol delivered a sharp public dressing-down to media personnel gathered outside his Juhu residence on Thursday, criticizing their persistent coverage amid his father Dharmendra’s health crisis and subsequent home recovery.
The outburst comes just a day after the veteran star was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital and brought home to continue his recovery under medical supervision. The family has been emotionally drained by the hospitalization, which was compounded by false media reports claiming the 89-year-old “Sholay” star had passed away.
In a video that quickly went viral on social media, the 68-year-old actor stepped out and sternly addressed the cameras, visibly upset by the continued intrusion, which reportedly included a leaked video of the family grieving at Dharmendra’s bedside.
Sunny Deol (to the paparazzi): “Aap logo ko sharam aani chahiye. Aapke ghar mein maa-baap hai, aapke bachche hai. Aur wo dekh c**** ki tarah video kar ja rahe ho. Sharam nahi aati (You all should be ashamed. You have parents and children at home too. And here you are filming like this. Don’t you feel any shame?).”*
Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital for medical tests, reportedly related to breathlessness, and was discharged on Wednesday morning. His treating physician, Dr. Pratit Samdani, confirmed that the family made the decision for the veteran actor to continue treatment and recovery at home.
The family has repeatedly attempted to shield Dharmendra’s privacy during this sensitive time. A day earlier, both his wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, had condemned “irresponsible” media behavior and swiftly shut down the false death reports that had been circulating online.
In an official statement released by Sunny Deol’s team, the family reiterated their request for restraint: “We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes… Please respect him because he loves you.”
Despite the pleas, media crews have remained stationed outside both the hospital and the Deol residence, forcing Sunny Deol to make the emotional public appeal.
