Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari: Varun Dhawan’s FIRST Look Out, Film To Hit Theatres On THIS Date

July 14, 2025: Fans of Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have a reason to celebrate! The duo is reuniting for their second collaboration in the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, directed by Shashank Khaitan. After multiple delays, the film is now officially set to hit theatres on October 2, 2025, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra, giving it a festive launch window.

The announcement came with the release of Varun Dhawan’s first look as Sunny Sanskari. Shared by Dharma Productions on social media, the poster features Varun flashing a joyful smile, donning a glittery embroidered shirt, sunglasses, and folded hands, exuding a classic Bollywood hero vibe. The caption teased fans with a shayari:
“Yeh aansoon hain mere, samundar ka jal nahin… Baarish ka kya bharosa, aaj hai…kal nahi!!!”

The romantic comedy also stars Janhvi Kapoor, marking her second film with Varun after Bawaal. The supporting cast includes Akshay Oberoi, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Maniesh Paul.

According to reports, Karan Johar, the film’s producer, believes the new release date is ideal due to the extended festive period. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti falling on the same day means an extended weekend and hopefully no major competition until Diwali — giving the film a clean three-week window at the box office.”

However, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ will face a box office clash with ‘Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1’ and Harshvardhan Rane’s ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’.

Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in ‘Param Sundari’, releasing on August 29, and Varun Dhawan is set to star in ‘Border 2’, releasing next year on Republic Day.

With promising visuals, a festive release, and a star-studded cast, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is already generating buzz as a potential rom-com hit of 2025.
