Superman Sequel ‘Man Of Tomorrow’, Set To HIT Theatres In July 2027

Director James Gunn has unveiled the title and release date for the highly anticipated sequel to this summer’s hit Superman, confirming David Corenswet’s return as the Man of Steel. The film is slated to deepen the core rivalry between Superman and Lex Luthor.

September 4, 2025: James Gunn, who is in charge of DC Films and directed the hit movie Superman this summer, has officially announced a sequel. This signifies that the new age of the DC Universe is getting bigger. Man of Tomorrow is the name of the forthcoming movie. It will come out on July 9, 2027. It will tell you more about the well-known hero David Corenswet.

Gunn tweeted an image of Superman alongside to his antagonist Lex Luthor, who is wearing his renowned warsuit. The moniker “Man of Tomorrow” is a clear reference to the initial Superman comics, and both fans and critics are quite enthused about it. They believe this means that the new DCU is sticking to the old tale.

The revised DCU timeline will have a “Gods and Monsters” chapter for the sequel. The movie Supergirl, which stars Milly Alcock, will come out in 2026. Fans are also delighted that Man of Tomorrow will come out before Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II because it has a shorter time constraint. The movie will come out in October of 2027.

Corenswet will play the Man of Steel again, while Rachel Brosnahan will portray Lois Lane again. Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luthor, the bad guy.
