Superman Takes Off in India: Beats Maalik, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan With ₹6 Cr Day 1

July 11, 2025: James Gunn’s Superman soared at the Indian box office on its opening day, collecting ₹6.93 crore on July 11, as per Sacnilk reports. This impressive start puts it ahead of two new Hindi films — Rajkummar Rao’s Maalik (₹3.48 crore) and Vikrant Massey’s Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan (₹0.32 crore) — combined.

With an overall English occupancy of 15.74% on Friday, the big-budget Hollywood release has clearly struck a chord with Indian fans eager to see David Corenswet take on the iconic cape.
