Sushant’s Sister Urges Fans to Keep His Legacy Alive On Actor’s 5th Death Anniversary

June 14, 2025: On the fifth death anniversary of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti posted a heartfelt video on Instagram, remembering her brother and reflecting on the legacy he left behind. In the emotional message, Shweta recalled Sushant’s pure heart, passion for learning, and unwavering kindness — qualities that, she said, continue to live on through his fans and well-wishers.

“Today is Bhai’s 5th Death Anniversary, a lot has happened since his death on 14th June 2020,” Shweta wrote. “Now CBI has submitted a report to the court and we are in a process of retrieving it. But what I want to say today is, no matter what happens, don’t lose heart and don’t lose faith in God or in goodness.”

She urged fans not to misuse Sushant’s name to fuel negative sentiments. “Never use Bhai’s name to spread any negative feeling—he wouldn’t like that. He didn’t stand for that,” she said in her video and caption. “His smile and his eyes had this child-like innocence which could stir anyone’s heart with overflowing love.”

Reflecting on his legacy, Shweta emphasized that Sushant still lives in the values he stood for. “Every time we love with all our heart, every time we have childlike innocence towards life, every time we are inclined to learn more—we are bringing him alive.”

Shweta concluded by encouraging people to be “the burning candle that lights up other candles,” continuing the work Sushant began through his generosity and love for others.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. The case, initially treated as a suicide, led to widespread calls for justice and multiple investigations. Nearly five years later, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently filed a closure report, stating that no criminal activity was found related to his death.
