‘Suzhal – The Vortex Season 2’ Trailer Unveils A Dark Murder Mystery With Kathir And Aishwarya Rajesh

February 19, 2025: Prime Video has released the highly anticipated trailer for Suzhal – The Vortex Season 2, giving fans a sneak peek into what promises to be a gripping continuation of the Tamil crime thriller. The new season, set to premiere on February 28, is expected to raise the stakes with its intense narrative and exceptional performances.

Created and written by Pushkar and Gayatri, with direction by Bramma and Sarjun KM, the eight-episode series will feature Kathir and Aishwarya Rajesh reprising their roles as Sub-Inspector Sakkarai and Nandini, respectively. They will be joined by a stellar ensemble cast including Lal, Saravanan, Gouri Kishan, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Monisha Blessy, and others in pivotal roles.

Set in the fictional village of Kaalipattanam, Tamil Nadu, during the annual Ashtakaali festival, the story kicks off with the shocking murder of a respected activist and social worker, Chellappa (Lal). This tragedy ignites a series of events that lead to secrets, crimes, and conspiracies. Sakkarai (Kathir) is given the responsibility of investigating the crime, while Nandini (Aishwarya Rajesh), haunted by her past, faces even greater challenges. What further complicates the case is the involvement of eight seemingly unrelated young women, who become the primary suspects in the murder.

As Sakkarai and Nandini dive deeper into the investigation, they uncover hidden motives, personal vendettas, and a tangled web of past actions that threaten to consume them. The complexities of the case push the characters to their limits as they try to uncover the truth.

The directors, Bramma and Sarjun KM, expressed excitement about taking the story to new heights.
