April 12, 2025: Taylor Swift’s fiercely loyal fanbase has put Travis Kelce’s ‘New Heights’ podcast under fire, accusing the show’s producers of exploiting the pop star’s relationship for attention.
The backlash erupted after Wondery, the podcast network behind ‘New Heights,’ circulated a listener survey asking fans why they tune in — and several of the options revolved around Swift and her romance with Travis.

One of the questions asked if listeners were “drawn to the prospect of hearing details and clues about Taylor Swift’s life and her relationship with Travis.” Another cited support for “Taylor’s happiness outside of her music.”
Screenshots of the survey quickly spread across X (formerly Twitter), where Swifties labeled the survey “gross,” “exploitative,” and “pathetic clout-chasing.”
“Wondery+ doing a survey to see if exploiting Travis’ love life would be worth it is disgusting,” wrote one fan.
Another user noted:
“Kind of gross to ask so many questions about Taylor on a podcast about football.”
While some accused Kelce of participating in the stunt, others jumped to his defense, suggesting the questions were the work of Wondery, not the podcast hosts.
“Jason and Travis are not creating this survey,” a user clarified.
Following the backlash, Wondery quietly amended the survey, removing the Swift-related questions altogether.
Travis’ representatives have not issued a comment.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift began dating in summer 2023, after he famously mentioned her on the New Heights podcast following a failed attempt to meet her backstage at her Eras Tour concert. The couple has since made multiple public appearances together, including NFL games and Coachella 2024.
While Swift has never been a guest on the podcast, Travis often references her affectionately, further fueling listener interest in their high-profile relationship.
