December 20, 2024: Lionsgate has confirmed the release date for The Housemaid, a highly anticipated psychological thriller directed by Paul Feig and starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. The film will hit theatres on December 25, 2025, just in time for the holiday season, offering a thrilling addition to the festive movie lineup.

Based on Freida McFadden’s best-selling novel, The Housemaid follows Millie (played by Sweeney), a woman who takes a job as a housemaid for a wealthy couple, Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Brandon Sklenar). What begins as a seemingly ordinary position soon takes a dark turn as Millie uncovers a web of dangerous secrets the couple is hiding.
