
'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' Actor Dies at 36, Reportedly by Suicide

Indian television actor Lalit Manchanda, best known for his appearances in popular shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Crime Patrol, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has passed away at the age of 36. He was found dead at his residence in Meerut on Monday, April 21.

The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) confirmed his demise in an Instagram post. “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012),” read the official statement.
While the cause of death has not been officially confirmed, several Indian media outlets have reported that the actor died by suicide. Reports also suggest that Manchanda had been struggling with financial difficulties, prompting him to leave Mumbai and return to his hometown of Meerut, where his family lives.
