Tabu Teams Up With Akshay Kumar For Horror-Comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’

January 12, 2025: The excitement surrounding Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bhooth Bangla has skyrocketed with the recent addition of acclaimed actress Tabu to the cast.

Tabu made the announcement on Saturday by sharing a picture of the film’s clapboard and teasing the project on Instagram with the caption, “Hum yahan bandh hain” (“We are locked here”). This led to a flood of enthusiastic responses from her fans, who are eager to see her in this horror-comedy.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla marks a long-awaited reunion between Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 years. The duo previously collaborated on hit films like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and their pairing is highly anticipated.

The film will delve into the horror-comedy genre, a space Akshay Kumar has previously excelled in, particularly with successes like Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Laxmii. With Tabu, known for her versatility in films such as Andhadhun and Haider, joining the project, fans can expect her to bring a fresh and layered dimension to the film.

Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, alongside Akshay Kumar’s production house Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla is slated for a theatrical release on April 2, 2026.
