Tahira Kashyap’s ‘Sharmajee Ki Beti’ Unveils New Song ‘Jind Mahi’

The song “Jind Mahi” from Tahira Kashyap’s latest directorial venture, ‘Sharmajee Ki Beti,’ has been unveiled.

Composed by Abhishek Arora and Ananya Purkayastha, and sung by Sukanya Purkayastha, the track is produced by Aditya Pushkarna and Abhishek Arora, with lyrics by Shelle.

“Jind Mahi” offers a poignant reflection on life’s myriad highs and lows, delving into heartbreak, broken dreams, and familial struggles through its haunting melody.

‘Sharmajee Ki Beti’ is a light-hearted, comical narrative exploring the lives of three women, portrayed by Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, and Saiyami Kher.

Tahira Kashyap believes her success as a filmmaker lies in addressing relatable and relevant subjects. In an interview, she discussed the film’s concept and her experience working with Sakshi, Divya, and Saiyami. “I wanted to make something that would entertain, engage, bring happiness, and add value. It took seven years to make the film, and I am more than happy because the audience can empathize and relate to the different characters,” Tahira said.

The film is now streaming on Prime Video.
