With Taylor off tour and Travis in off-season, the couple enjoys rare downtime, fueling emotional growth and quiet milestones in their relationship

After a headline-dominating year filled with record-breaking concerts, Super Bowl triumphs, and global media attention, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are finally embracing a quieter chapter — and sources close to the couple say it’s been a transformative season for their relationship.

“It’s been a turning point for their relationship in a lot of ways,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. “They’re incredibly happy and in sync. There’s a calmness and ease to their relationship right now that’s been really grounding for Taylor and Travis.”

Swift concluded her Eras Tour in December 2024, while Kelce wrapped up his NFL season in February 2025, when his Kansas City Chiefs faced the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. Since then, the couple — both 35 — have intentionally slowed their pace, and according to sources, they’re relishing the peace.

Taylor and Travis are soaking up every minute of this slower season together,” the insider says. “They’ve been splitting their time between New York, Nashville, and a few quiet getaways, just enjoying each other’s company without all the usual chaos. This kind of downtime is rare for both of them, and it’s really allowed their bond to deepen.”

While in Manhattan, the couple has been spotted around the West Village, opting for relaxed date nights and intimate dinners with friends. In Nashville, they’ve kept a low profile, spending time with Swift’s family and close-knit circle — a stark contrast to the stadiums and red carpets that defined much of 2023 and early 2024.

This quieter season has also coincided with a major personal milestone for Swift: reclaiming her music masters — a long-standing battle that has come to an emotional resolution.

“Reclaiming her masters has been emotional and empowering,” says the source. “She’s proud, relieved, and finally feels like a chapter has closed in the best possible way.”

Kelce, who’s supported Swift both publicly and behind the scenes — even flying across continents to attend her shows — was right by her side during this momentous victory. “Having Travis by her side for that milestone made it even more special,” the source adds. “He was honored to support her and he wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.”

Since their romance began in summer 2023, the relationship has evolved from flirty public mentions to a full-blown global partnership. From stadium celebrations and award shows to quiet holidays and long-distance balancing acts, they’ve continually shown up for each other amid hectic schedules.

Now, with summer in full swing and neither burdened by the intensity of touring or training, the couple is savoring what might be their first true window of normalcy.

As previously reported, the upcoming NFL season marks the first time Swift will support Kelce without having to juggle a demanding tour calendar.

“Taylor is really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season. Not just because she loves supporting Travis, but because for the first full season since they started dating, she’s not juggling a packed tour schedule,” the source told PEOPLE earlier this month.

“This fall will be completely different,” the insider added. “It’s the first season where she’s not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.”

Reflecting on the past year, the source acknowledged, “The past two seasons were a whirlwind between performing across multiple countries, long flights, and trying to squeeze in alone time together wherever possible. It wasn’t easy but they made it work.”

With newfound stillness and emotional milestones, Swift and Kelce appear to be laying the foundation for what might be their most grounded and enduring phase yet.
