Taylor Swift Cuts Ties with Blake Lively Amid Justin Baldoni Legal Drama: Report

Sources claim Swift is done with Blake Lively over the stress of the Baldoni lawsuit and the manipulation of her friendship in the feud.

May 24, 2025: American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has reportedly ended her longtime friendship with actress Blake Lively after getting caught in the crossfire of Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni. According to sources cited by the Daily Mail, “If Taylor had one wish right now, it would be that she never met Blake.” The insider claimed, “Although there have been good times, the issues with the Baldoni case have overshadowed everything.”

Blake and Taylor, known for their close friendship over the years, have faced growing tensions in recent months.

“When Taylor looks back at their friendship, she realizes it wasn’t worth all the stress Blake put her through,” the source added. “She’s relieved the relationship is over. She put up with Blake’s antics for too long because she’s a loyal friend.”

The insider said it was the It Ends With Us drama that pushed Swift to finally end things. “It took this scandal to finally get her to pull the trigger on it.”

Falling Out with Friends
The rift appears to have also affected Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Reports suggest he has even unfollowed Blake’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, on Instagram. “Taylor and Travis are disgusted with how Blake and Ryan tried to use her in their fight against Justin Baldoni. They’re vowing that their break from the couple is permanent,” the source said.

Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit, filed in January, alleged that Blake and Ryan tried to leverage their friendship with Taylor to gain creative control over the film. Complicating matters, Justin’s legal team claimed earlier this month that Blake’s lawyer threatened to leak private messages between Swift and Baldoni unless Swift publicly supported Blake. Blake’s lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, firmly denied the claims, calling them “completely untethered from reality.”

Taylor’s Team Speaks Out
A spokesperson for Swift stressed her complete lack of involvement in the film or legal case, saying:

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie. She was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she didn’t even see the film until weeks after its release, and she was traveling the globe headlining the biggest tour in history during 2023 and 2024.”

On Thursday, Justin Baldoni’s legal team officially withdrew Taylor’s subpoena, with sources saying his team had already received the information they were seeking.

As this Hollywood feud simmers down, Swift is said to be feeling “relieved” to move on from the drama once and for all.
