Taylor Swift Flaunts Engagement Ring, Holds Travis Kelce Close On Date Night

The superstar cozied up to her fiancé, the Chiefs tight end, for a dinner at his new Kansas City restaurant, 1587 Prime. The PDA-filled snap surfaces just as Swift prepares to release her highly-anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

October 3, 2025: Just one day before the release of her highly anticipated 12th studio album, pop superstar Taylor Swift enjoyed a sweet and low-key date night with her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, stepping out at his new restaurant, 1587 Prime.

The newly engaged couple, who are quickly becoming an American celebrity fixture, posed for a candid picture with a fan inside the upscale steakhouse, which Kelce co-owns with his Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes.

A Candid and Affectionate Moment

The image, shared on Instagram Thursday by fan Jeremiah Sims, captured the affectionate nature of the pair. In the photo, Swift, wearing a black top and a multi-coloured skirt, is seen holding Kelce close from behind as they both smile for the camera. Kelce, who was casually dressed in a white T-shirt and black pants, was supporting his Kansas City business venture. Sims captioned the post simply with, “Love over hate.”

The restaurant’s official “Kelce Brothers” Instagram page later clarified the timing of the outing, noting, “Taylor and Travis with Jeremiah Sims at 1587 Prime after the Chiefs game on Sunday.” The date night comes just days before Kelce’s 36th birthday on Sunday, October 5th.

Wedding and Album Buzz

The outing adds to the flurry of excitement surrounding the couple. Swift and Kelce, who announced their engagement on August 26th with the playful caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” are reportedly planning a private wedding ceremony. Sources have indicated that the nuptials will be an intimate affair with their close circle of friends and family, respecting their desire for privacy over a large spectacle.

Meanwhile, the date night coincided with the release of Swift’s 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which dropped on Friday. The album draws inspiration from her life on the record-shattering $2 billion Eras Tour. Swift, who reunited with hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback for the project, described the 12-track album as coming “from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life.” The new album has already broken records, becoming the most pre-saved album ever on Spotify, surpassing the record set by her previous work, The Tortured Poets Department.
