August 14, 2025: Taylor Swift, a pop diva, has officially revealed her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. It will be out on October 3. The singer shared the news on Instagram, showing off the album’s colorful cover art and tracklist.
The cover image shows Swift in a stunning, rhinestone-studded one-piece that perfectly captures the “showgirl era” that the album’s title evokes. “That’s show business for you, baby.” The Life of a Showgirl is a new album. “Out October 3,” she said in the post. The singer also shared the full track list, which includes the title track, which fans have been looking forward to hearing alongside Sabrina Carpenter.
A deliberate teaser on the New Heights podcast, which is hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, came out before the album was announced. Swift showed off a mint green suitcase with her initials on it in a video. This revealed the album’s title, which Travis excitedly called “TS 12!”
Swift, who worked with Max Martin and Shellback on the album, has also made physical copies available for pre-order. These include vinyl, cassette, and CD versions, with the CD version arriving with a unique poster. The statement is the latest in a busy time for the musician, who had a hit album called The Tortured Poets Department come out in 2024.
