Pop superstar Taylor Swift has been officially subpoenaed as a witness in the escalating legal feud between actress Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni, despite denying any involvement in the film’s creative process.

May 10, 2025: Los Angeles — Singer Taylor Swift has been officially subpoenaed in the legal clash between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, sources said. The subpoena, issued by Baldoni’s legal team on Friday, compels the pop icon to testify in the ongoing case over the film It Ends With Us, which is scheduled for trial in March 2026.

Swift’s spokesperson condemned the subpoena as “tabloid clickbait,” asserting the Grammy-winning artist had no creative role in the project. “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set, was not involved in casting, scoring, or editing, and only saw the film weeks after its release while touring globally,” the statement read.

The spokesperson confirmed Swift’s only connection to the film was the licensing of her track “My Tears Ricochet”, along with 19 other contributing artists.

The legal drama began when Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024, citing emotional distress and lost wages.
