Taylor Swift’s latest book, The Eras Tour, offers fans a closer look at her record-breaking tour, featuring 500 exclusive photos and heartfelt reflections. Released on Friday for $39.99, the 256-page book reveals how her glittering wardrobe became an emotional cornerstone during her high-energy, three-hour performances.
In the book, Swift opens up about the emotional connection to her wardrobe, particularly her Lover-era Versace bodysuits. “Something about the combination of Cruel Summer and that glittery Versace bodysuit can pull me out of any funk, fix any headache, heal sore muscles,” she shared.
She highlighted the joy of performing during sunsets, saying, “I always adored the shows when the sunset happened at the same time as the Lover era—just pink skies on pink skies.”
During the tour, Swift dazzled fans with multiple versions of the bodysuit in hues like pink and blue, gold and blue, and red and orange. The Cruel Summer singer credits these outfits for not just adding visual brilliance to the show but also helping her channel the energy needed to keep audiences captivated night after night.
Swift noted that the Lover album, which never got its own tour due to the pandemic, made this era particularly special. “Bright, romantic, and celebratory,” she described it, adding that opening the show with Cruel Summer felt like the perfect way to set the tone.
Notably, the cover of her book features her posing in one of her iconic glittery bodysuits, a nod to how much these outfits shaped her Eras Tour experience.
Donatella Versace also celebrated Swift’s style during the tour, writing on Instagram, “@taylorswift you are breathtaking in Versace. I’m so proud of you. Best of luck on The Eras Tour🤍,” shortly after the tour kicked off in March 2023.
