TCA Awards 2025: Will Severance’s Leading 5 Nods Overshadow Adolescence and the Rest?

Los Angeles [US], July 9: Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed thriller Severance has emerged as the frontrunner at the 2025 Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards, securing a leading five nominations, including Program of the Year and three nods for Individual Achievement in Drama, Variety reported.

The nominations celebrate the best in television from June 2024 to May 2025, with voting conducted by over 230 members of the TCA. While the annual summer press tour and in-person awards ceremony were canceled this year, winners will be revealed virtually later this summer via the TCA’s social media platforms.

Following closely behind Severance are four series that each received four nominations:

  • Netflix’s Adolescence
  • HBO Max’s Hacks and The Pitt
  • Apple TV+’s The Studio
    All four are also competing for the coveted Program of the Year award.

TCA President Andy Dehnart, editor of Reality Blurred, emphasized that this year’s nominations reflect the association’s dedication to honoring exceptional storytelling across television platforms.

“With these nominations, we honor the art of television and the artists who create it,” Dehnart said.
