Team ‘Stree 2’ Shares Real-Life Spooky Stories Ahead of Sequel Release

As anticipation builds for the release of Stree 2, the cast and crew arrived in Delhi on Wednesday for an exciting promotional event, sharing their personal encounters with the supernatural. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, this sequel promises to be another thrilling mix of horror and comedy, building on the success of the 2018 hit Stree.

During a press conference, the cast not only discussed their upcoming film but also revealed some spine-chilling real-life experiences. Rajkummar Rao, who returns as Vicky, humorously reflected on the spooky moments from the original Stree set, noting that the sequel has shifted more towards fun. “I’d like to think that even the ghosts are fans of our film, so we wouldn’t want to scare them away!” he quipped.

Aparshakti Khurana, reprising his role as Bittu, shared a particularly eerie encounter from his time in Delhi. “Once, while returning from Gurgaon around 3-3:30 AM, I saw something truly unsettling near the GK1-GK2 flyover. I even took a U-turn to check, but when I looked back, it was gone,” he recalled, adding a chilling note to the event.

Abhishek Banerjee, who plays Jaana, added to the spooky atmosphere by nodding in agreement, indicating that these ghostly encounters are not just limited to the screen.

The event also saw the release of the film’s latest song, ‘Khoobsurat,’ which has only heightened the excitement among fans. Featuring a charming performance by Shraddha Kapoor, alongside Rajkummar Rao and Varun Dhawan, the song blends romance with drama, setting the tone for the film’s narrative.

The trailer of Stree 2, which was recently unveiled, teases an intriguing new villain, ‘Sarkata,’ who poses a fresh threat to the women of Chanderi. With Vicky now taking on a princely role to combat this new menace, the film promises to mix its horror roots with new comedic elements.

Adding to the buzz, Tamannaah Bhatia makes a dazzling cameo in a high-energy dance number titled ‘Aaj Ki Raat,’ choreographed by Vijay Ganguly. Her performance in a stunning green outfit is sure to be a highlight of the film.

Fans of the original Stree, known for its unique combination of horror and comedy, are eagerly awaiting the sequel. Stree 2 is set to hit theatres on August 15, 2024, offering another thrilling journey into a world where the supernatural meets humor in the most unexpected ways.
