Teaser of Sriya Reddy-starrer ‘Thalaimai Seyalagam’ unveiled

The teaser for the compelling political thriller ‘Thalaimai Seyalagam’ has just been released. Under the direction of Vasanthabalan, a National award-winner, the series features prominent actors such as Kishore, Sriya Reddy, Adithya Menon, and Bharath.

‘Thalaimai Seyalagam’ unfolds the riveting narrative of a woman’s relentless pursuit of power, weaving a complex tale of ambition, betrayal, and redemption set against the backdrop of Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.

Director Vasanthabalan provided insights into the series, remarking, “In politics, conventional rules do not apply. By attuning ourselves to the discourse between Union and State Governments, we glimpse the emergence of new political dynamics centered around state autonomy, self-sufficiency, and the advocacy for people’s rights. The narrative focuses through the lens of a state chief minister, exploring themes of corruption, the sacrifices in democratic struggles, and the dangers of armed conflicts, all while striving to portray a government devoted to its people’s welfare.”

Sriya Reddy, who plays the pivotal role of Kotravai, shared her excitement about the role: “Portraying Kotravai in ‘Thalaimai Seyalagam’ has been both challenging and fulfilling. Her philosophy, ‘If we confront our enemy with a knife, they will retaliate with many,’ perfectly captures her cunning, composure, and intuitiveness. This series delves into the turbulent world of politics, entangling investigations, familial conflicts, and precarious alliances, providing a detailed exploration of the political intricacies in Tamil Nadu.”
