July 24, 2025: In a raw and emotional update on her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, Teddi Mellencamp revealed new details about her ongoing battle with stage 4 cancer. The 44-year-old “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum shared that she hasn’t been feeling well for the past month, experiencing symptoms like difficulty opening her eyes and keeping her thoughts straight.
Treatment Adjustments and Shrinking Tumors
Mellencamp announced that she will be pausing her immunotherapy treatment due to these side effects. Encouragingly, recent scans have shown that her tumors are shrinking, with some barely visible. “We’re going to take a little break on the immunotherapy to get my body back feeling stronger,” she explained.

Impact on Personal Life and Divorce Proceeding
The cancer journey has significantly impacted Mellencamp’s daily life and her relationship with her three children, Slate (12), Cruz (10), and Dove (5). She expressed heartbreak over missing out on everyday moments, stating, “I’ve never in my adult life been in a situation where I’m like, ‘Gosh, I can’t do this right now.'”
Mellencamp also confirmed that her divorce proceedings from Edwin Arroyave remain on hold as she focuses on her treatment.
Navigating Public Appearances and Past Concerns
Despite her struggles, Mellencamp has continued her work, including recapping “RHOBH” episodes, though she admitted it’s been difficult. She recounted a vulnerable moment before a recent interview with Glamour, where she initially felt too unwell to attend, despite appearing “strong” to others.
This health update follows Mellencamp’s previous criticism of her doctors for not performing earlier scans when she was diagnosed with stage one melanoma. She questioned why scans weren’t done sooner, especially after her melanoma on her shoulder was initially classified as stage one, which later progressed.
