Tere Naam Re-Release: Salman Khan Fans Go Berserk as Cult Classic Hits Theatres
The 2003 hit Tere Naam, starring Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla, was re-released on Friday, February 27, 2026, sending fans into a frenzy. A video from a theatre showing fans cheering wildly during Salman’s iconic entry as Radhe has gone viral on social media, capturing the actor’s undiminished star power.
Originally directed by Satish Kaushik, Tere Naam received a decent box office response in 2003 but went on to achieve cult status over the years. Its re-release brought nostalgia and excitement to fans who flocked to theatres to relive Salman Khan’s unforgettable performance. One fan tweeted, “The OG ‘Radhe Bhaiya’ craze is back. Salman Khan isn’t just a star; he’s an era.”
The film was a commercial success during its initial run, and now all eyes are on how the re-release performs at the box office.
Salman currently has his upcoming action film, Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The release, originally set for April 17, 2026, has reportedly been postponed to August 14, 2026. Meanwhile, Salman is facing a personal setback as his father, veteran writer Salim Khan, remains hospitalized at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital since February 17, 2026.
The re-release of Tere Naam is proving that even decades later, Salman Khan’s iconic roles continue to inspire fan frenzy and nostalgia across generations.
