‘Thama’: Ayushmann Khurrana Receives “Fang-Tastic” Welcome From Team As He Begins Filming For Horror-Comedy

December 12, 2024: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is gearing up for an exciting new project, teaming up with Rashmika Mandanna for the first time in their upcoming horror-comedy film Thama. Fans are already buzzing with anticipation, especially after Ayushmann shared glimpses of his warm welcome on his first day on set.

On Instagram, Ayushmann posted a picture of a special welcome card from the makers of the film. The card, from the production team of Maddock Films, introduced him as the lead in their expanding horror-comedy universe. The card humorously read, “Dear Ayushmann, It’s fang-tastic to have you on board Maddock’s horror comedy universe. Who better than ‘Ayushmann’ to play the ‘un-dead’ Thama? We believe this is a role you will love to sink your teeth into! Best wishes, DV.”

In another post, Ayushmann shared a note from a crew member, expressing excitement for the film’s start. The note said, “Good morning sir, Yeahh Finally it’s Thama Day…we are so excited to start this Thama journey with you…Hope you have a great first day with us…Let’s make bloody good memories…”

In Thama, Ayushmann will share the screen with Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Ayushmann, who is known for his versatility in roles, expressed his excitement about joining Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe. In a press note, he said, “I’m excited that Dinesh Vijan feels this is the best time for me to enter his blockbuster horror-comedy universe in and as ‘Thama’. After Stree 2 became the all-time biggest Bollywood film in the history of Hindi cinema, I am thrilled to be part of this universe’s legacy as it moves forward. I also feel responsible for giving audiences a theatrical experience that they will remember for years to come.”

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for his work on Munjya, Thama will be produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik. The screenplay is written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara.

Apart from Thama, Ayushmann will also be seen in an untitled film with Sara Ali Khan, while Rashmika Mandanna has another highly anticipated project, Sikandar, in which she stars alongside Salman Khan.

The exciting combination of horror and comedy, coupled with the star power of Ayushmann and Rashmika, is already generating plenty of buzz, and fans are eagerly awaiting more details about this thrilling new film.
