About Thandel

Presented by Allu Aravind and produced by Bunny Vas under Geetha Arts, Thandel is Naga Chaitanya’s most ambitious film to date. The movie narrates a gripping tale of love and survival, centered on two lovers from a fishing village in Srikakulam. Chaitanya’s character, Raju, becomes a Thandel (fishing captain) during a fateful expedition to Gujarat, while Sai Pallavi’s Satya remains his emotional anchor.

The film draws inspiration from real-life events involving fishermen accidentally drifting into Pakistani waters and facing imprisonment, which adds a layer of authenticity to its narrative.

Audience and Critical Response:

While Thandel has garnered mixed reviews from critics, its engaging storyline and performances have found resonance with the audience, creating positive buzz for its weekend run.
