The Conjuring: Last Rites Becomes Highest-Grossing Hollywood Horror in India, Crosses ₹60 Crore Mark

The final installment of the iconic horror franchise, starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, has not only topped the box office but has become the fastest horror film to cross the ₹67 crore milestone in the country. Its strong run has cemented its place as a major blockbuster in India.

September 12, 2025: The Conjuring: Last Rites is the most popular movie in the world right now. It has also set records for becoming the scariest movie in India. The movie made the most money in its first week, making it the highest-grossing horror movie ever in Hollywood.

Sources at the box office said that the last movie in the series, which starred Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, made more than ₹67.19 crore in its first week in the US. This amazing success helped it make more money than other record holders, like The Conjuring 2 and Final Destination Bloodlines, over their entire lives.

The movie did very well right away, bringing in 50.5 crore in its first weekend. It stayed at a steady pace all week, beating out Bollywood movies like Baaghi 4 and The Bengal Files. The English-language movie made the most money. The Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions that were dubbed also did well, which means that the brand is well-known in India.

People all throughout the world love The Conjuring: Last Rites. In less than a week, the movie made an incredible $226.65 million worldwide. That’s more than four times the $55 million it cost to film the movie. The movie generated $83 million in the US, which was the greatest opening ever for the series. It’s also the third best opening ever for a horror film.

The studio knows how well the movie did. The Conjuring: Last Rites was supposed to be the last movie about the Warrens, but there are more in the works. It looks like Warner Bros. is going to develop an HBO Max show based on the property. It looks like Last Rites sped up the process of making the series.

It already has a group of writers and a showrunner. The series doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but it will add to the narratives in the well-known horror universe. This will keep the franchise running for a new generation of fans.
