Returning from the 2006 original are Tracie Thoms (who played Andy’s best friend Lily) and Tibor Feldman (Runway’s parent company chairman). Meanwhile, Bridgerton star Simone Ashley has signed on for a mystery role, and Kenneth Branagh will portray Miranda Priestly’s (Streep) husband. However, Adrian Grenier, who played Andy’s boyfriend Nate, is not expected to return.

The first film, adapted from Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel, was loosely inspired by her time as assistant to former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
