The Diplomat Day 10 Box Office: John Abraham’s Spy Thriller Slows Down but Outpaces Snow White

Despite a dip in momentum after a steady start, John Abraham’s The Diplomat edges past Disney’s Snow White at the Indian box office, crossing ₹24 crore in 10 days.

March 25, 2025: John Abraham’s political-action drama The Diplomat is witnessing a visible slowdown in its box office momentum, but the film has managed to outshine one of the biggest Hollywood releases of the season — Disney’s Snow White.

After a promising start during the Holi weekend, The Diplomat managed to maintain decent earnings in its opening days but has seen a gradual dip over time. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film has earned approximately ₹24.52 crore net in India after 10 days in theatres.

On Day 10 (Sunday), the film minted ₹1.62 crore by early evening. If evening and night shows perform steadily, the film might close Sunday with around ₹2.5 crore — similar to its previous day’s earnings.

While this is a drop from its best-performing days — ₹4.65 crore each on Day 2 and Day 3 — it still positions The Diplomat as a better draw at the box office than several recent releases.

🆚 The Diplomat vs Snow White

Disney’s Snow White, despite its global anticipation, opened to a lukewarm response in India. The film earned only ₹65 lakh on Day 1 and ₹1.06 crore on Day 2. That puts The Diplomat far ahead in terms of domestic performance, making it the second-best choice for audiences after Chhaava this month.

🌍 Worldwide Performance

The film’s international gross stands at ₹4.20 crore, bringing the total worldwide earnings to nearly ₹29 crore. This figure also surpasses the total theatrical run of John Abraham’s previous release, Vedaa, which ended its journey with ₹22.54 crore.

🎙️ John Abraham Reacts

In a recent interview, John Abraham said he’s proud of how The Diplomat proved its critics wrong.

“The best thing about this film is that expectations were zero. From that, we went straight to a 10. That’s a win. People are telling me this is the best film the studio has had in a decade.”

As more big releases like Empuraan and Sikandar hit screens this week, The Diplomat is likely nearing the end of its theatrical run — but not without making a respectable impact at the box office.
