‘The Diplomat’: John Abraham’s High-Octane Drama Set To Hit Theatres On This Date

January 17, 2025: John Abraham is all set to release his upcoming film The Diplomat, which will hit theatres on March 7, 2025.

The actor shared the release date on social media and expressed his excitement, writing, “Honored to bring this story of courage and diplomacy to life. See you in theatres on March 7th!” He also unveiled a new poster for the film, where he is seen in a sharp suit and sporting a moustache, reflecting his suave character in the movie.

Directed by Shivam Nair and written by Ritesh Shah, The Diplomat is inspired by a true story that shook the nation. It promises to be a gripping tale of power and patriotism. The film is produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, John Abraham’s JA Entertainment, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl of Wakaoo Films, Sameer Dixit, Jatish Varma of Fortune Pictures, and Rakesh Dang of Seeta Films.

John Abraham’s last film, Vedaa, which also starred Sharvari and Tamannaah Bhatia, was released in the previous year. Although it faced stiff competition from Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and Stree 2, it failed to perform well at the box office. The film was directed by Nikkhil Advani and follows the journey of a young woman, Vedaa, who fights for justice with the help of a former soldier, played by John. Despite its box office struggles, Vedaa is now streaming on ZEE5.

Meanwhile, Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and RajKummar Rao, emerged as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2024, which impacted Vedaa‘s commercial success.

John Abraham’s upcoming film The Diplomat promises to showcase his acting chops in a different, more intense role, further fueling excitement among fans.
