‘The Diplomat’ Trailer Out: John Abraham In A High-Stakes Mission

The movie, set to hit theaters on March 7, stars John Abraham in the role of real-life Indian diplomat JP Singh, who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue an Indian woman from captivity. The film draws inspiration from an actual incident in 2017, where Singh played a key role in negotiating the release of an Indian woman, Uzma, from a foreign country.

The trailer, which dropped on the birth anniversary of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, pays tribute to her significant contributions to India’s diplomacy, specifically her support of JP Singh’s efforts. The powerful visual sequence sets the stage for a tense, high-stakes thriller that showcases the art of negotiation and the strength of intellectual and diplomatic power, rather than war, in resolving international crises.

Directed by Shivam Nair, The Diplomat brings together an impressive ensemble cast, including Sadia Khateeb, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra in key roles. The film focuses on the resilience and quiet heroism of diplomats who rely on strategy and patience to safeguard the nation.
