Raj describes him as a character who mirrors Srikant in unsettling ways—“almost the opposite of Srikant,” yet shaped by similar vulnerabilities. Rukma isn’t evil for the sake of being evil; his motivations are rooted, layered and deeply personal. He also navigates a “non-family family,” reflecting Srikant’s own messy domestic life in a darker, distorted form.
