The Night Manager Season 2 First Look: Tom Hiddleston, Camila Morrone Get Steamy

Eight years after its stunning debut, the globally acclaimed spy thriller returns with Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Jonathan Pine, who is pulled back into the world of espionage by a powerful new adversary, Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos.

November 5, 2025: The long-anticipated return of The Night Manager is officially confirmed, with Amazon Prime Video and the BBC announcing two additional seasons of the globally acclaimed espionage thriller.

Tom Hiddleston is reprising his Emmy-winning role as former hotelier-turned-intelligence operative Jonathan Pine, now caught in a perilous new mission that expands the story beyond the original John le Carré novel for the first time.

Pine’s New Alias and Mission

Season 2 picks up eight years after the dramatic events of the first installment, with Pine living under a new alias, Alex Goodwin. He is operating as a low-level MI6 officer running a quiet surveillance unit in London.

His peace is shattered by a chance encounter with an old mercenary connected to the operation of the now-imprisoned arms dealer Richard Roper (previously played by Hugh Laurie). This sighting leads Pine to a violent confrontation with the new international antagonist: Teddy Dos Santos, a powerful Colombian businessman played by Diego Calva (Babylon).

Official Synopsis: What begins as surveillance quickly unravels into a deadly mission involving weapons supply chains and the training of a guerrilla militia in Colombia. As Pine embeds himself deeper, alliances fracture—and the line between loyalty and betrayal becomes perilously thin.

A Star-Studded New and Returning Cast

The show features a mix of familiar and new faces joining the high-stakes intrigue:

  • Returning Stars: Olivia Colman reprises her award-winning role as intelligence officer Angela Burr, alongside Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe (as Daniel Roper).
  • New Players: Joining Calva is Emmy Award nominee Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & The Six) as Roxana Bolaños, a poised businesswoman who reluctantly assists Pine in infiltrating Teddy’s operation. Other additions include Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires.

The upcoming season, which was filmed across the UK, Spain, Colombia, and France, is created and executive produced by David Farr (based on le Carré’s characters) and directed entirely by BAFTA winner Georgi Banks-Davies.

The Night Manager Season 2 will stream on Amazon Prime Video worldwide (excluding the UK), with the BBC remaining attached as a co-producing partner. While no premiere date has been set, the release of the first-look images suggests the series will arrive soon.
