March 1, 2025: The trailer for the highly anticipated horror-comedy The Parenting has been released, giving fans a sneak peek into the chaos and horror awaiting audiences. The film, directed by Craig Johnson (known for The Skeleton Twins), blends supernatural elements with dark humour, starring Lisa Kudrow, Brian Cox, and a talented ensemble cast.
The plot follows a young gay couple, Rohan (Nik Dodani) and Josh (Brandon Flynn), who plan a peaceful weekend getaway at a country house with their families. However, their plans quickly unravel when they discover that the house is haunted by a malevolent demon, leading to a series of bizarre and terrifying events.

The trailer shows the escalating tension, as Josh’s character voices the growing concern: "There is something really bad happening in this house," signaling the unraveling horror. Adding to the oddity, the characters try to subdue a possessed dog in a hilarious and unconventional way. There’s also an unexpected and unsettling scene where Brian Cox’s character is seen wandering naked through the house, contributing to the surreal and creepy atmosphere of the film.
Alongside the leads, the film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Edie Falco, Parker Posey, Dean Norris, and Vivian Bang. The Parenting promises to be a unique and hilarious twist on the horror-comedy genre, with enough scares and laughs to captivate audiences.
The film, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema, will be available for streaming on Max starting March 13, 2025. Fans of Kudrow and Cox will have much to look forward to, as both bring their unique comedic and dramatic talents to the film. Kudrow recently appeared in Time Bandits on Apple TV+ and No Good Deed on Netflix, while Cox, celebrated for his role in Succession, continues his extensive career with roles in The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim and the upcoming The Electric Stars.
