The Raja Saab Trailer: Horror Meets Hilarity as Prabhas Battles Evil Spirits and Sanjay Dutt! WATCH

The highly anticipated trailer for the Maruthi-directed horror-comedy is finally here, featuring the Salaar star in dual roles for the first time. Prabhas faces off against an exorcist played by Sanjay Dutt and unleashes a unique mix of action and supernatural scares.

September 30, 2025: Fans of Prabhas should be happy because the trailer for his upcoming Telugu movie, The Raja Saab, came out on Monday night. Maruthi directed the movie, which is a horror-comedy that promises a unique mix of supernatural thrills, action, and chuckles. Prabhas plays both a young man and an older, possibly evil, character for the first time in his career.

Since the project’s launch in January 2024, the publication of the trailer has been a big deal. The movie has a lot of famous actors in it, like Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar.

What the Trailer Shows

The two-minute trailer gives a taste of the movie’s strange tone and story. It starts with Prabhas sitting in a hypnotist’s office and being told to listen to the legendary song “Koi Yahan Nache Nache” by Bappi Lahiri and Usha Uthup. The strange mix of a catchy 80s song and scary paranormal images right away sets the mood for a one-of-a-kind horror-comedy experience.

The next scenes show creepy creatures, a haunted home, and the debut of Sanjay Dutt’s character, who Boman Irani humorously calls a “exorcist, psychiatrist, and hypnotist.” There is even a funny Star Wars reference in the teaser as Prabhas gets ready to face Dutt.

The sneak peek ends with a look at Prabhas’s older self, which hints at his part as a ghostly “evil grandfather,” with Zareena Wahab playing his grandma.

The Problem with the Release Date

The team has finished most of the shooting, with only a few songs and small fixes left to do. However, they are still arguing about the ultimate release date.

Producer TG Vishwa Prasad said that the team’s planned release date is January 9, 2026. This date was chosen based on advise from people in the film business to coincide with the profitable Sankranti festival. But sources say that Bollywood distributors want the movie to come out on December 5, 2025, instead.

Maruthi wrote and directed The Raja Saab. He called the chance to helm a talent like Prabhas a “golden opportunity.” Thaman S. wrote the soundtrack for the movie.
