July 23, 2025: Country artist Dylan Marlowe found himself unexpectedly escorted off the grounds of Country Jam in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on Saturday, minutes after completing his performance. A video of the incident, which went viral on social media, shows security guards gripping Marlowe’s shirt while Jake Owen, performing on stage at the time, reacted by exclaiming, “That’s Dylan Marlowe.”

On Sunday, Marlowe took to TikTok to address the widely circulated video and explain his side of the story. In a four-minute video, he stated that he and a friend were watching Jake Owen’s set from a front-of-house tower, believing they had full access with their “All Access” and “Artist Credentials” passes.

“We were like, ‘Hey. We have All Access wristbands given to our tour manager for us to wear to be anywhere we want to be,’” Marlowe recounted. However, a security guard approached them, stating, “No. I don’t care. So and so said you can’t be up here.”

Marlowe and his friend then moved to a different location, but the same security guard confronted them again, this time accompanied by police officers. According to Marlowe, the officers informed him, “this security is our boss and he’s telling us to get y’all out of here.”

Marlowe admitted that the exchange became heated. “I’m not going to paint it like I was this perfectly great dude who wasn’t rude back to him after he was rude to me,” he confessed in the video. “There were definitely a few heated words exchanged with that guy, nothing crazy, but I feel like he was rude to me and I was rude back to him, and I shouldn’t have been.”

The incident has sparked discussion online about artist access at festivals and the role of security personnel. Marlowe has since expressed that he has no hard feelings towards the festival itself, attributing the issue to a single individual’s behavior.
