July 31, 2025: The third season of “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” Amazon Prime Video’s popular coming-of-age romantic drama, has been a big hit with fans. According to a Variety article, the most recent episode, which aired on July 16, 2025, drew in an amazing 25 million viewers throughout the world in the week after it aired.

Amazon Prime Video has reported that the number of people who watched the first two episodes of Season 3 was an amazing 40% higher than the same time period for Season 2. The first season of the show came out in June 2022, and the second season came out in July 2023. The show’s popularity led to its renewal for a third season in August 2023, which led to its long-awaited release in July.

The decision to release “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 3 weekly has caused a lot of talk and, at times, disagreement among its devoted fans, who want to fast resolve the main love triangle between Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad. Even if fans want all the episodes to be out at once, Amazon execs say they still favor the weekly release schedule for the show.

The Hollywood Reporter says that “The Summer I Turned Pretty” has become the seventh most popular returning show on the streaming site, thanks to its great characters and story.

The series is based on Jenny Han’s best-selling trilogy of novels with the same name. Jenny Han, the show’s creator, said she was happy with how well it was received. She told the portal, “Seeing how The Summer I Turned Pretty has resonated with millions — how the story has sparked so many fan conversations, sent the books back on the bestseller lists, and inspired so many viewers’ reactions across social media — it’s everything I could have hoped for and more.”

Season 3 Summary:

Season 3 picks up where “We’ll Always Have Summer,” the third book in Jenny Han’s popular trilogy, leaves off. This is the most dramatic part of Belly’s story. Belly is now a junior in college and is going back to Cousins Beach for what will be her best summer ever. Even though she is with Jeremiah, her first love, Conrad, still means a lot to her. Belly has to deal with unresolved issues and make important choices about her future this season.

Lola Tung plays Belly in “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” along with Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney as Conrad, Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah, Sean Kaufman, and Alfredo Narciso, among others.
