‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 3 Trailer Teases Love, Regret, and a Wedding Twist

Taylor Swift soundtrack, college romance, and a love triangle reignite the emotional chaos as Belly faces life-changing decisions in the final season

A brand-new full-length trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 has been released, and it promises fans a final chapter filled with love, longing, and difficult choices. Backed by a dramatic mashup of Taylor Swift’s “Daylight” and “Red (Taylor’s Version)”, the three-minute trailer dives into the emotional whirlwind that awaits Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers.

Season 3 picks up two years after the events of Season 2, with Belly and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) still very much in love. Their relationship has grown stronger during their time at Finch University, and now they’re talking marriage. But when Belly breaks the news to her mother, Laurel (Jackie Chung), she receives a reality check — and things begin to unravel.

Just as the couple prepares for their future, Belly’s unresolved past resurfaces — enter Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney). A single glance and a few lingering moments reignite old feelings, and the love triangle that defined the earlier seasons returns in full force.

Romance, Rivalry, and Reunions

The trailer starts off light and romantic, showcasing Belly and Jeremiah’s college life filled with picnics, dining hall hangouts, and sack races — a sequence that feels like a dreamy montage set to “Daylight.” But things take a sharp emotional turn when the scene cuts to Conrad’s surprise appearance at the Cousins Beach house, echoing a pivotal moment from Jenny Han’s third novel, We’ll Always Have Summer.

There, Belly — disheveled and covered in chocolate — stands in shock as Conrad appears at the door with a candy cane dangling from his lips. The mood shifts as “Red (Taylor’s Version)” plays, signifying the return of Belly’s confusion between the brothers and the heartbreak that lies ahead.

Book to Screen: Jenny Han’s Final Adaptation Arc

Based on Jenny Han’s bestselling trilogy, Season 3 marks the final installment of the fan-favorite series. Han is once again at the helm as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Sarah Kucserka and Karen Rosenfelt. The series, produced by Amazon Studios and wiip, is known for its emotional depth, beachside nostalgia, and carefully curated soundtrack — and this season appears to double down on all three.

With emotional stakes at their peak, Season 3 promises to tie up lingering plotlines while exploring whether first love can really last, or if some hearts are destined to break.
