“That was horrifying. I saw that video (of his car). It was horrifying! Because we didn’t know then, what was the result of that accident. So, you get the worst feelings. To me, these boys are like my own sons. I have youngsters in my team as well. I hoped he wasn’t injured badly,” SRK shared in a video posted on KKR’s social media platforms.

The superstar further emphasized the emotional weight of a sportsman’s injury, highlighting the double jeopardy it poses, not only affecting the individual but also impacting their team and fans. He expressed his heartfelt wishes for Pant’s speedy recovery, particularly focusing on his knee.

SRK fondly recounted his recent interaction with Pant after the KKR and DC match in Vizag on April 3, where he shared a warm embrace and exchanged words of encouragement with the resilient cricketer.

“In the last game, when I met him, I was telling him don’t get up, it must be hurting. I was hugging him and asking are you well? I had not seen him before that, post the accident. I am really happy that he’s back, playing well and I hope he keeps on playing well,” SRK shared, highlighting his admiration for Pant’s determination and resilience.

Pant’s recovery from the life-threatening car accident in December 2022 has been nothing short of remarkable. Despite the challenges he faced, Pant has showcased exceptional performance on the field during the ongoing IPL season, demonstrating his full fitness and skill both with the bat and behind the stumps.

As Pant continues to shine, his journey serves as a testament to his strength and determination, inspiring fans and fellow cricketers alike with his remarkable comeback story.
