They Can't Match Her Dignity": Ashnoor Kaur's Father Fires Back at Bigg Boss 19 Contestants for Vicious Body-Shaming
Ashnoor Kaur’s father, Gurmeet Singh, gave a powerful response to Bigg Boss 19 contestants Kunickaa Sadanand, Tanya Mittal, and Neelam Giri after they made derogatory comments about the 21-year-old actor’s appearance inside the house.
Controversy has erupted inside the Bigg Boss 19 house after multiple contestants, including actors Kunickaa Sadanand, Tanya Mittal, and Neelam Giri, along with Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz Badesha, were caught on camera body-shaming fellow housemate, 21-year-old actor Ashnoor Kaur.
The offensive remarks have drawn widespread condemnation from viewers and television celebrities alike, with fans demanding host Salman Khan address the issue on the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
In a swift and powerful defense of his daughter, Ashnoor Kaur’s father, Gurmeet Singh, took to Instagram on Thursday to respond to the housemates’ comments.
Gurmeet Singh shared a reel showcasing the various derogatory remarks made by Amaal, Kunickaa, Tanya, Neelam, and Shehbaz about Ashnoor. He addressed the group’s actions directly, writing a defiant message:
“Why is everyone so insecure about a 21-year-old? Oh, I know… they can’t match her levels of dignity and grace.”
The comments made by the contestants were both personal and relentless:
The body-shaming incidents have led to an outpouring of support for Ashnoor Kaur from various celebrities, including Gauahar Khan, Manu Punjabi, Kamya Panjabi, and Rohan Mehra, all of whom criticized the contestants for their behavior on national television.
In other house news, the week saw a major shake-up in nominations. After Gaurav Khanna’s move saved Abhishek and Ashnoor from being nominated alone, almost the entire remaining house is now up for eviction. Pranit More has been named the new captain of the house, setting the stage for a tense Weekend Ka Vaar where Salman Khan is expected to address the ongoing toxicity.
